Behavior Management Of Children With Autism Spectrum Disorders In Dental Environments
A recent study has demonstrated that ABA procedures can be integrated in the dental environment to manage problem behaviors often exhibited by children with an ASD. This paper also points out the important point that increasing the likelihood of patients accepting simple and routine dental procedures, dentists can decrease the need for more intrusive procedures such as restraints and sedation.
